Brandon's day began ordinarily enough, but suddenly without any warning, everything changed. The world around him began to dissolve away, threatening to dissolve him with it. ***** - The write-up says that 'the rules of reality have now changed' and this thrilling sequel lives up to that, where reality is literally falling apart. It's even more of a page-turner than the first book, as I had no idea what would happen next. When I thought it was over I was suddenly strapped back in for another ride. I started to get to know the characters more in this one, which added to the suspense. I'd really like to see where the final takes me, as this was a fun, quirky, Sci-Fi Horror - Andro
***** - A page turner with a lot to offer. In this second installment in the series, the pace ratchets up quickly. We join characters familiar from the first book (but I think this book can even be appreciated on its own, without some of the backstory). It is a good example of descriptions of cosmic proportions, and how paranormal events infringement on the lives of relatable characters. Each of them is part of a set of rich, well-rounded individuals, who the author established by making use of reliably good dialogue. They are pursued by supernatural vortices, giving the reader a very cinematic view of large-scale urban destruction - Syd Henningson
***** - The Journey continues. After the excellent first book, this one took me on an adventure I wasn’t quite expecting. The characters are back, but how and why? Everything eventually comes clear and through more twists and turns we’re treated to a fast-paced and quite bizarre thrill ride with mind-boggling creatures, wormholes and more things that are just too strange to mention! - A.S Ghalley
Well, this is how to make a sequel. Rather than retread the same old ground, the 2nd part of the survival series of books goes in a completely unexpected direction. I really didn't know how it was going to carry on, and this was full of surprises. Featuring quantum anomalies, wormholes, deadly nanobots, elements of folklore as well as UFOs and other dimensions, it was a roller coaster from the first page to the last and a thoroughly entertaining read - M.Beswick
